Cruising is my favorite activity to enjoy. I know that I have mentioned how much I enjoy reading, but the book is so much better being read on a cruise! Sitting on the deck, the sun enveloping me in warmth, enjoying a great book. Nothing could be better.

Because I love cruising so much, I can safely say that I am cruising expert. I have gone on so many, it’s hard to count back at this point! One of my favorites though had to be Obama’s [my leader dog] cruise to Puerto Rico via Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Sea cruise ship.

Puerto Rico is the largest island in the east and is easily one of the friendliest. It has not lost that personal and welcoming touch to its visitors. I personally, enjoy old San Juan, to me it is a vibrant city. The sounds of people around the pier, the different artisans selling their wares, the smell of so many delicious dishes, the cobble streets, the quaint shops, restaurants, small bars, and the museum [which displays one of the flags of Christopher Columbus]. There is a ramp in San Juan that reminds me of something Zorro would charge down to protect his city. I know that I just dated myself but that’s okay!

Because I brought Obama, there were some extra precautions and steps that I had to take. If you are planning on bringing your working dog on a cruise, be sure you have all of his up to date medical papers. If not, you will not be able to bring your dog on the cruise. The cruise line will fax your dog’s medical papers to your port of call and they will be the one to give permission for you to embark from the ship.

If Puerto Rico is your next travel experience here is a link for more history and excursion details.

Again have a great travel experience!!
